The Blue Beacon's Kindle Edition is out now!
The first novel in the Cascadia Chronicles series is now digitally open to the public.
Cascadians and Green Roomers,
I have a few things to report:
First, of our 200 Kickstarter & BackerKit orders, only 13 orders remain outstanding because they’ll either be delivered in person or I don’t have a shipping address yet. The rest are fulfilled! Hurrah! If you’re a backer and haven’t received your order yet, let me know!
Second, the Kindle Edition of The Blue Beacon is now available on Amazon. There are two 5-star reviews so far, and this morning the ebook was dubbed a Top New Release, got a sweet little badge, and is currently ranked #1 for new releases in Children’s Mammal Books.
The Audible Edition is pending approval though I expect to go live in the next week. More print editions will also be available soon, and you can still preorder the print edition here.
Lastly, I got a timely reminder from Breena Bard’s Instagram yesterday that submissions for the Oregon Book Awards were due at 5pm on Friday evening. So I cobbled together a nomination in the Middle Grade & Young Adult Literature category, paid the $50 submission fee, and rushed downtown to drop three copies of The Blue Beacon in person. I wasn’t sure they’d be mailed in time! This is the first award I’ve submitted the novel for, but it’s a doozy since being honored by my home state would be a dream. For now, that’s still all it is, but at least I took some steps toward that goal.
With the Kickstarter campaign nearing an end, this will be the main source of Cascadia Chronicles news, so expect more posts as I bring the The Blue Beacon to market and dive into Book 2. There’s more to come! Thanks for following.
