Chapter 18: Ophir's Mission & Meeting Griggs
We finally learn Ophir's deal, and the gang visits Cascadia's finest armorers.
Ophir eyed the wide picture window which looked out on the river from General Athena’s Fort Macadam office. She found it difficult not to stare at the view. The general's smaller mammal aides wheeled out a pedestal with a ladder which brought Ophir closer to the General’s eye level.
Even at this vantage point, General Athena was impressive. She sat with regality and power. Her fur was mostly golden brown, except for a band of white which began on her forehead and ran between her eyes and around her muzzle, then down her broad chest. Her paws were white also, her eyes hazel. She wore, in place of armor, a simple cloak of white fabric which looped over her right shoulder and was held in place by a silver pin of a wide-eyed owl.
“You’ve reached your destination, Ophir. Your vow of silence is lifted.”
